This notice explains what we collect when you contact Elysian Tutors or use our service, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under UK data-protection law. Last updated July 2026.
Elysian Tutors is a trading name of ELEVATEOS EDUCATION LIMITED, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17329548. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at [email protected].
When you book an intro call or email us, we collect the details you give: your name, email address, optional phone number, and the subject, level and message you submit. To reduce spam and abuse we also process basic technical data such as your IP address at the moment you submit the form.
Only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and deliver tutoring, keep you informed about your child's lessons, and protect the form from abuse. We do not use your details for advertising, and we never sell them.
Under UK GDPR our lawful basis for handling your enquiry is: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing the tutoring contract once your child starts (Article 6(1)(b)); and our legitimate interest in replying to you and keeping the booking form safe from spam and abuse (Article 6(1)(f)). Where we later need it, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service. Cloudflare hosts the website, serves the booking form and provides bot protection through its Turnstile widget. Neon stores booking enquiries in a database. Resend delivers the notification email of your enquiry to our team at [email protected]. Each processes data on our written instructions only, under a data-processing agreement.
We tutor children, so a parent or guardian should submit enquiries. Please do not include sensitive medical or safeguarding information in the booking form. If you have a safeguarding concern, email [email protected]. Our designated safeguarding lead is Howard Chan.
If you do not become a client, we delete your enquiry within 12 months of your last contact, or sooner if you ask. If your child becomes a client, we keep records for the duration of the tutoring and for up to 6 years afterwards, to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Some of our providers (including Cloudflare and Resend) are based in the United States and may process your data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We use only what the site needs to work. Cloudflare Turnstile, the bot-protection widget on the booking form, may set a short-lived token to confirm you are human. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
